I've loved costuming since my grandmother taught me how to sew at age 7. My passion is finding great textured and beautifully colored material and trims to see what I can create out of them. Each outfit has a theme such as happy, elegant, beautiful, fanciful or just plain outrageously fun. I love to include details large and small and accessories such as jewelry, gloves, hats with matching hat boxes, purses etc. Costuming for school projects and Halloween were my favorites and I always looked forward to the yearly Renaissance, Old West and Science Fiction and Fantasy fairs held here in the So. Cal. area. I attended my first SteamPunk Festival in Berkley and was fascinated. Folks of all ages were all having a great time in costume. So many different ways to express ones self! I was hooked!!
